Grateful, Thankful, and Blessed
2022 seemed such a strange year
Trying to get back to normal without living in fear
Staff shortages and empty shelves everywhere I went
Making tough decisions to keep an eye on every penny spent
Grouchiness at an all time high, no smiles to be seen
Anywhere we went, the people were very mean
When calls came in at work, I dreaded to pick up the line
Yelling and cursing no matter whose fault, it wasn’t theirs but mine
Not many reasonable people graced my presence last year
The reason for their entitlement was never very clear
I did my best to spread the joy that I found in our Lord
But most of the time my efforts were just blatantly ignored
So, for this New Year I am praying for the Holy Spirit to fill the air
To touch the hearts of those who in trouble that do not seem to care
I’m praying again for revival to bring us together as leaders in this race
To lend a helping hand to others and remind them of His grace
To greet people with smiles and show them His love in everything we do
Let’s plant some seeds and take a stand, its up to me and you
Happy New Year to one and all, let’s make this one better than the last
Let’s put covid and our stresses out of our minds and leave them in the past
Today is a gift, that’s why it’s called the present- so let’s live for today
Enjoy life to the fullest dragging all along with us spreading His love everyday
