Recently I have been thinking a lot about God’s grace, you know, that unmerited favor He gives us. And about His mercy, the kindness and compassion He shows us over and over again. What about His forgiveness that cleanses us and frees us from the penalty of sin? You know, the fact that “God loved us so much that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but will have eternal life”.
What would we do, where would we be, without God’s amazing grace, immeasurable mercy, and faithful forgiveness? It is all demonstrated to us in one word – Love. He loves you, cares for you, and wants the very best for you! All we have to do is accept those free gifts. When we receive those gifts and genuinely allow them to be a part of our life, God, through the power of the Holy Spirit, will change our hearts and heads, attitudes and actions. We will turn from the old life to the new life that God has designed and planned for us since the beginning of time.
You, child of God, should always remember you have God’s grace, mercy, and forgiveness. That is also what we have to share with the world. All His love manifests in the way we relate to others; think, speak, and act toward others. Francis of Assisi stated: “Let all brothers preach by their works”. In other words, let’s all diligently put into practice all that we preach!
God loves you and so do I!
