Hello everyone!
Have you ever thought, “I am not worthy to be used by God!”? I am weak and selfish and sinful! I am not the “pick of the litter!” I am not the “cream of the crop!” I am no one!
But throughout history and still today, God uses mostly ordinary people. Even the greatest servants of God were just weak, sinful people who were willing to trust and obey our Almighty, Sovereign, Loving, Forgiving and Faithful Creator and Savior.
They were people of FAITH! Sometimes only (small) faith, but FAITH none the less! If we read Hebrews chapter 11, we’ll see men and women throughout history trusting and obeying God, and how God used them.
Knowing we are weak and sinful is the first step in serving the Lord! As God’s Word says, “God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.” Then we can REST in the WISDOM and POWER of Almighty God to Accomplish His will in and through us.
God is seeking those who will worship Him and love Him. And if we love Him, we desire to obey Him and serve Him. God is not seeking our GREATNESS, but our HUMILITY. The Lord gives us all specific Spiritual gifts to enable us to serve Him through His Church. We only need to be available to serve wherever He leads.
As the Lord told Paul, ”My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.” Paul said, “That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weakness…for when I am weak, then I am strong.” (2 Corinthians 12:10)
So let us rejoice in who God has made us, and endeavor to give all our unique selves in service for His glory.
