How Well Do You Know…….???
Renee Tossell- Lawson
Renee grew up in District Heights, Maryland and has been born again for 31 years. She is married to Don Lawson. They came to TMBC from Serenity Baptist in Three Points. “The first time we came here, we felt the love and the welcome and the Holy Spirit. I felt drawn unto the church, that this is where the Lord wanted us to be.” Renee loves to sing: She’s on our worship team, and her favorite song is “10,000 Reasons.” Her favorite bible verses are Proverbs 3:5-6 and Philippians 4:13 (NIV). In the mornings, at sunrise, Renee walks with Jesus. “The sunrise is always His gift to me in the morning, and just walking with Him and talking with Him, and listening.” She also enjoys cooking and gardening. Renee has had a very successful career in Radiologic Sciences, with two bachelor’s, a master’s, and a doctorate. And, she just finished her recent bachelor’s (in Archeology) in May of this year. Now, she’s working for the Rio Rico Historical Museum and occasionally is called to do excavations in New Mexico and Rio Rico. “I absolutely love Archeology.”
Fun Fact: Renee has traveled all over the world, including Herculaneum, Pompeii, Ephesus, Egypt, the Mayan ruins in Mexico, Huatulco, and Costa Rica.
