Valerie Smith
Valerie, mother of two, has been coming to TMBC for nine and a half years now. She originally came for a night service in addition to her other church, but she stayed for the community she experienced.
Valerie has a touching testimony. She shared that she was raised Catholic, but she fell away from the church in her late teen years, she was lost for quite a while, but when her first daughter was three months old, Valerie had a dream and she knew when she woke up that she “had to get to church.” She knew she “needed Jesus, and the Holy Spirit.” Valerie went to church that morning and was saved in October 2013!
Her favorite bible verse is Philippians 4:6
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God,” (ESV).
In her free time, Valerie enjoys taking opportunities to go hunting and fishing.
Fun Fact: It was put on Valerie’s heart to start a “Frozen Pizza Ministry.” Basically, the church would deliver pizzas to extra-curricular activity groups and would use that opportunity to ask permission to recommend a church. So if you have names or contact info for any clubs, sports, or extracurriculars, please let her know! Please keep this ministry in your prayers as well.
